Do you provide props?
I like to keep my photos as natural and as led by you as possible, so I will encourage you to use belongings that are sentimental to you as a family. Of course, we can always discuss a theme or idea for a particular or special prop that you may have in mind, and I can help you source it.
Do you give any direction during the session?
I will create as laidback an environment as possible. If an outdoor location, we can go for a walk and chat away, finding photo opportunities as we go. I pride myself on my patience and ability to put people at ease. If needed, I can suggest small prompts to tease out the natural dynamic you have between each other as a couple or family. Ultimately, I will capture lots of candid moments and choose the best of them for your final edits.
What area do you cover?
I live in South East Kent and cover my surrounding area, up to 20 miles from my home. I am happy to cover the rest of Kent and occasionally further afield but this then incurs a slight travel cost per mile. Please contact me to discuss suitability of a specific location.
How should we dress for our family session?
I am always happy to offer styling advice, for example, neutral and earthy tones fit well with my style of photography. Though if you want your photos to be authentically "you", then definitely dress in a way that makes you feel care-free and comfortable.
What is your editing style?
As you can hopefully see in my images, I use a warm or often "rose-tinted" colour palette in my edits to encompass a bohemian-inspired aesthetic. I love to keep all images natural and honest, so I won't edit things like complexion, flyaway hair or a child's grubby knees! These are the tiny authentic details that make your images what they are.
How many images will I receive?
Each pricing package details the minimum amount of images. I will choose the very best quality images from your session and edit each of these for you. I can even give you a guideline after the session as to how many final images I estimate there to be.
